About Two Suns Editorial.

Hi, I’m Olivia, the editor behind Two Suns! I launched Olivia Edits in 2016 and then rebranded as Two Suns Editorial in 2025 with big dreams. My mission is simple: to help science fiction and fantasy authors tell the best version of their story. I’ve partnered with dozens of writers who are ready to work hard, work smart, and bring their imaginative worlds to life in a way that resonates with readers.

My Path to Editing

I earned my minor in editing from Brigham Young University, then went on to sharpen my skills as a developmental editor with multiple courses through the Editorial Freelancers Association. I’ve worked on over two hundred stories written by authors with a range of publishing goals—from traditional publishing to keepsakes for their family.

Today, I’m proud to be the developmental editor for the flock at Owl Hollow Press, where I collaborate with talented authors to shape manuscripts that captivate from the first page to the last. I have also have also edited for Skyhorse Publishing,  Rebellion Publishing, and Boutique of Quality Books, as well as many amazing self-publishing authors.

My Editing Philosophy

I believe you are the expert of your story. My role as an editor is to guide, not dictate. My goal is to empower you to make confident, intentional changes that strengthen your story while keeping your unique voice intact. Every note I give is rooted in respect—for your work, your vision, and the effort you’ve already poured into your manuscript. I offer honest, constructive feedback delivered with kindness, so you sit down to write feeling inspired, not discouraged.

Beyond the Red Pen

When I’m not immersed in spaceship schematics or enchanted kingdoms, you might find me caring for my two littles, running, and traveling, all of which allow me to mentally untangle a tricky plot thread. I have my own folder of story ideas that will one day see the light, and I’m conversational in Portuguese after living in Lisbon for sixteen months.
